Antiquing Furniture - Day 1 (2 matches)

The cheap kitchen redo is coming to an end.  I thought I would share with you the antiquing process I used to redo my kitchen cabinets.

Here is a reminder of what some of my cabinets looked like before:

In order to antique the cabinets I followed these prep steps:
*Removed all the doors
*Sanded all the doors
*Cleaned all the doors with TSP

I have a dining room hutch, you might have one that looks pretty similar.  It was fine for years, but now I want some color!  I need a little rest after antiquing all my kitchen cabinets, but I am definitely tackling this project soon.

I could not resist when I saw all this saw dust my kitchen table.  The cheap kitchen redo is coming along slowly.  Even with an electric sander, sandy really sucks!  But with the help of my wonderful husband it is done!  So tomorrow, in between my son's dentist appointment, I get to start painting.  Finally!  I bought the paint yesterday at Home Depot.  I bought Behr paint with the primer mixed it.  First time using it, I am really hoping I only have to put one coat of paint on the cabinets (...
